Are rentals month to month?
Yes. Rentals are month to month from the beginning. Please review the rental agreement for payment and cancellation details.
Will my washer and dryer match?
Not necessarily. Brands, models, and styles depend on changing inventory. Specific makes, models, or matching sets cannot be guaranteed.
Can I choose the exact appliance shown in the photos?
The pictures are examples of rental equipment. Because our inventory changes, the exact washer and dryer delivered may be different.
Do you offer front-loading washing machines?
No. We rent top-loading washing machines and standard electric dryers.
Is delivery and installation included?
Yes, standard delivery and installation are included in the monthly rental price, subject to a suitable setup and service availability.
What happens if an appliance stops working?
We handle normal mechanical failures. Contact us and we will arrange service or a replacement as appropriate.
How do I sign up?
Call, text, or send a rental request. We confirm availability and arrange delivery, and you review and complete your rental agreement and payment setup in person at your home.
Is this rent-to-own or appliance financing?
No. Desert Star is a month-to-month rental service. You do not earn ownership of the washer or dryer through rental payments.
How much are rentals, including tax?
A washer and standard electric dryer set is $64.99 per month plus applicable tax; one appliance is $39.99 per month plus tax.
How much notice is required to cancel?
Submit the Cancellation or Partial Return Request form at least 30 days before your next billing date. You can end your entire rental or request pickup of just one appliance. With less than 30 days’ notice, the next monthly payment at the existing rental rate is charged in full, except where required by law. We will confirm your effective date and pickup arrangements.
Can I use a washer and dryer instead of the laundromat?
If your home has suitable hookups, renting can offer the convenience of doing laundry at home. Compare your own laundromat expenses and utility costs.

We serve El Paso and Horizon City, plus some surrounding communities. Please text your ZIP code to confirm coverage.

Current renters
Need to cancel or return one appliance?
Use our cancellation form to end your rental or return one appliance from your set. Submit your request at least 30 days before your next billing date. We’ll confirm your effective date, any final scheduled payment, and pickup arrangements.
Cancellation / Partial Return Request
Submitting a request records your notice; it does not stop billing immediately. Your rental agreement’s cancellation terms apply.
